ING, Australia’s most recommended bank, are recruiting a Senior Analyst for our Integrative Risk function based in Sydney.

The roles sits within a team that have three responsibilities - scenario analysis and stress tests to ensure the bank is prepared for adverse economic conditions. Secondly, regulatory risk disclosures and reporting. Thirdly, maintaining resolution and recovery planning framework and reporting.This is a quantitively focused role where you will cover emerging risk identification, scenario development, risk quantification, stress testing and sensitivity analysis, risk disclosure and regulatory reporting. It covers the ING Australia balance sheet with retail, business lending and wholesale banking activities. It's a key role where you will build strong relationships with stakeholders across risk, finance and treasury.

We are looking for candidates with a strong quantitative background with a couple of years' experience at another bank or consulting firm who want to get experience working on a broad range of financial risk topics.Ready to make an impact?What you’ll do

  • Support in perform capital adequacy assessment, scenario analyses and stress testing in compliance with the respective prudential regulation; Australian and European
  • Support in preparing external risk disclosures (Pillar 3) and APRA regulatory returns
  • Producing analytics & insights on the regulatory capital to support the capital management strategy and decision making at the senior management levels
  • Assisting in various reporting and monitoring against APRA standards and internal policies
  • Support in providing analytics for review of recovery and resolution planning
  • Ensure the accuracy and integrity of data used in stress testing models and disclosure reports

What we’re looking for

  • Tertiary qualification with a financial focus (Mathematics/Econometrics/Statistics) with 2 –3 years' experience with statistical or financial modelling
  • Intermediate / Advanced SAS and SQL
  • Knowledge of risk management techniques
  • Strong analytical and numerical skills
  • Experience within the financial services industry, particularly in risk management or treasury/balance sheet management, is highly desirable.
  • Understand prudential requirements ((APS110, APS112, APS113, APS330and CPS190/900) and ability to explain them in simple terminology would be highly beneficial
  • Understanding of APRA Reporting Standards (ARS) would be highly beneficial
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and stakeholder management skills for effective collaboration with various teams within the bank.
