Job Description

Analytical insight and process improvement:

  • Identify and propose process improvement initiatives, suggest and implement enhancements to streamline financial planning and analysis processes
  • Develop business case model to evaluate business proposals with complete financial analysis to determine viability of new investments and perform follow-up assessments
  • Drive forecasting accuracy by proactive management of functional expenses, identifying root cause that drive variances to plans, and develop action plan to implement corrective actions

Business partnering:

  • Develop trustworthy relationship with business partners to drive financial management, understand business dynamics, and provide financial insights to support decision-making
  • Provide analytical support as required for initiatives and ad hoc projects

Reporting and analysis:

  • Prepare regular financial reports for internal stakeholders, highlighting key performance indicators and financial metrics
  • Analyze actual financial results against budgeted or forecasted figures, providing insights into key drivers of performance differences
  • Drive month end closing by coordinating with the controllership team, analyzing and investigating general ledger activity to understand variances to budget and latest forecast

Budgeting and planning:

  • Lead budget and forecast process for the function, prepare timelines and share templates covering the data requirements, drive all discussions with stakeholders, challenge assumptions, and prepare summary reports with granular view at activity and project level
  • Guide cost center managers so they are informed of their approved budgets & forecasts and their commitment to budget/forecast on a continuous basis.

This is a hybrid position. Expectation of days in office will be confirmed by your Hiring Manager.

Qualifications

Basic Qualifications 5 or more years of relevant work experience with a Bachelor's Degree or at least 2 years of work experience with an Advanced degree (e.g. Masters, MBA, JD, MD) or 0 years of work experience with a PhD Preferred Qualifications

  • 6 or more years of work experience with a Bachelor's Degree or 4 or more years of relevant experience with an Advanced Degree (e.g. Masters, MBA, JD, MD) or up to 3 years of relevant experience with a PhD
  • Bachelors degree in finance, engineering, accounting, mathematics, economics, or related quantitative field
  • Excellent business acumen
  • At least 5 years of relevant financial analysis work experience
  • Ability to cultivate effective relationships and communicate effectively with executive management
  • Outstanding analytical and quantitative skills, able to resolve tough business problems with well-structured analyses
  • Expert skills in MS Excel and PowerPoint and Power BI. Hyperion and TM1 experience is an advantage
  • Proven expertise in modelling techniques and managing large data sets
  • Must be detail oriented to ensure accuracy and quality of output
  • Strong bias for action and ability to proactively recognize and resolve issues
  • Ability to work effectively with a diverse team and produce time sensitive deliverables
  • Strong interpersonal skills will be required to address on-going needs of a complex, matrix reporting structure, and multinational organization
