The Contacts Specialist will be responsible for drafting, reviewing, negotiating, interpreting and administering various agreements, contracts, documents and forms in support of our Quest Integrity business regionally and supporting Middle East, Europe and Africa regions.

As a Regional Contracts Specialist, you will be responsible for:

  • Reviewing complex contract documents and markup in accordance with established protocol and timing requirements
  • Mitigating contractual risk by negotiating terms and conditions while supporting commercial and organizational objectives and escalate issues in accordance with established protocol
  • Articulating the Quest Integrity contracting position persuasively based on reasoned justifications
  • Learning, understanding and complying with applicable contract review policies and procedures
  • Managing contract negotiation workflows
  • Working on Contract administration, including intake, tracking, follow-up, execution and filing in accordance with departmental practices
  • Modifying contract review procedures as necessary from time-to-time
  • Working with others within the organization to leverage available resources
  • Communicating with various approvers outside of the business related to contract provisions
  • Following established processes for subcontractor approvals including liaising with HSSE and risk management in the preparation of subcontract agreements; negotiate terms and conditions when required
  • Learning Quest Integrity business to adequately understand associated risks and commercial strategies
  • Interfacing with all levels of management, business and support unit personnel, sales personnel, internal legal counsel, and client personnel
  • Committing and adhering to ethics and work conduct expectations espoused in our Code of Conduct and Values and Expected Behaviors
  • Additional duties as assigned

To be successful in this role you will have:

  • High school diploma required; bachelor’s degree in related field preferred
  • Minimum 5 years contract experience in a fast-paced, cross-functional environment
  • Expert knowledge of contracting concepts and terms
  • Must be comfortable negotiating via various forms of communication (written, telephonic, virtual and in-person as needed)
  • Should be able to balance commercial, operational and legal risks with business justification to identify contracting issues according to the company’s guidelines
  • Cross-border contract negotiation experience and familiarity with international trade laws and regulations (anti-bribery, anti-boycott, etc.)
  • Experience working for or with sophisticated procurement departments a plus
  • Professional demeanor, strong customer service skills, high energy, and optimistic attitude
  • Excellent analytical and communication skills and exceptional attention to detail
  • Strong organization skills, ability to work with or without direct supervision and highly motivated self-starter
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a successful team
  • Ability to multi-task while keeping track of priorities and maintaining big picture focus
  • Willingness to work extended hours during peak periods
  • Advanced MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook) and Internet research skills; familiarity with Salesforce or other CRM software preferred
  • Resourcefulness and a drive toward excellence
